Lots of guys, And easily the most common type of requests that we get here, our phone both is requests for us to test more phones.

And look, I’d love to test every smartphone out there, but with our test taking up to a week to produce per phone with the programing of the robots and everything that goes into it, there’s just not enough time and resources for us to do them all.

But in today’s article, we are trying something new, something that I think can help us test more phones for you guys than we usually do by partnering with our longtime channel sponsor in Wiggs, who by sponsoring today’s article, has given us the resources we needed to run for new battery tests. Also, a pretty big phones that we missed out on last year.

In this article, we’re going over the battery test results for the iPhone Eleven Pro, which, you know, we tested the 11 pro Macs and the regular eleven, but we did miss out on the regular eleven pro.

We’ve tested at the smaller galaxy as 10 e the 90 hertz one plus 70 and the one plus seven T pro.

Now, because this is more of a roundup helping us catch up with some of the phones that we’ve missed, the we’re we’re gonna be doing it isn’t a typical comparison. And instead, what I want to be doing is adding these battery test results to our Web sites.

And because Wick’s made this entire thing possible, I’ll be doing a walkthrough of how we built our Web site using Wake’s in the process.

All right. So we’ll start off by popping into the Wick’s Web site.

Ed, where were immediately taken to the home page of our Web site using this top menu? We’ll switch pages to the battery test page. This pages pretty simple as our whole Web site is with a graphic banner here at the top, a text box here on the left with a short description about the test itself.

And on the right, we have article which if that doesn’t just link to our channel, but it links specifically to our battery test playlist that way.

And it’s how we upload a battery test. The article here, it gets updated automatically, which is great because I know that I probably forget to do it.

And then finally here, the bottom is the main purpose of the page in our official battery test rankings, which is simply just a list of all the phones that we’ve tested so far.

So I added this list and everything you see here on our Web sites using these sidebar menu in the ED where you have options to do things like customizing the menus and changing the page background.

But the main thing that I end up using is this plus icon that lets you add almost anything you can imagine to your site. So for the text box, I just want to text.

And then paragraph four, the article widget, I just want to video and then obviously YouTube. And for the main list, I just went to lists and grids and I use this specific list as my base.

And then I just tweeted, look, just the way I wanted. OK.

So the first phone that will be adding to the battery test results is the Galaxy as 10 e. Since we’re adding a Samsung phone, here are just duplicates. One of the existing Samsung phones, so that we had on the change the manufacturer of logo.

Of course, I wanted the change a logo if I had to.

I can just hit change image on the icon and do it from there.

But all we have to do for now is change the name of the phone, change the specs, which for the to any means a five point eight inch screen, a thirty one hundred million up our battery with a native 10 ATP resolution.

So for the results, this Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy s 10 e actually lasted longer than the Galaxy s 10 with the X no ship. But this is only by minutes, with a total time of twenty three hours on the dot, which considering a 16 hour standby means it had seven hours of screen time. So not the best results. But you know, to be fair, it is a small phone with a small battery. Next phone will add is the 90 hertz one plus 70.

So same thing again will duplicate a one plus phone this time and change the name and specs, which includes a six point five inch ninety hertz display with a native 10 ATP resolution and a pretty big.

Thirty eight hundred million of our battery.

And the results were actually pretty surprising despite the 90 hertz refresh rates. It did really, really well, lasting at twenty five hours and 34 minutes in total with a screen on time of nine hours and 34 minutes. Which places? It’s at least for right now at third place.

So a top three rating for a phone that has a higher refresh rate. Who would have ever thought that a phone with a high refresh rates can have good battery?

Next up is the 70s at Big Brother and the 70s Pro, which has a slightly larger screen at six point seven inches, a slightly larger battery at four thousand and eighty five million hours. But it also has a significantly higher fourteen forty P native resolution, which actually ended up in having slightly lower battery life.

In total, it lasted at twenty five hours and five minutes with screentime of nine hours. In five minutes, so not as good as the regular one plus 70. But still a pretty good result. If I had to guess, I’d say the difference was due to the differences in native resolution.

But either way, I think the results on both of these phones are excellent.

And then finally, the phone that I was most excited about testing for this article is that that regular iPhone 11 pro will duplicate the eleven pro Maxis row here, which is the current battery test champ beating the next best phone by almost two hours.

But we’ll go out and change the name to eleven pro and the specs with a smaller five point eight inch screen on the eleven pro. But obviously a much smaller battery.

Add three thousand and forty six million hours, which resulted in a total time of twenty five hours and 24 minutes with nine hours and 24 minutes of that being a screen on time.

So that’s a crazy results. It’s longer than the Galaxy s 10 and the No. Ten plus, which are obviously bigger bones with bigger batteries.

And it actually did that with similar specs as the galaxy as 10 e, which sits all the way at the bottom of our rankings. Now last up is adding the numbered rankings to all of the results. We’re just changing these little text boxes. And there you have it.

Last year with the iPhone 10, Apple claimed that they were using the strongest glass to ever be used in a smartphone. And this year with iPhone ten s and the tennis Macs, they’re doubling down on that claim thing.

This year, new iPhones are even more durable than last’s. So today we’re going to be putting that claim to the test, comparing the iPhone tennis max to easily its biggest competitor in the Galaxy Note nine to see which one of these thousand or flagships is actually more Derval.

Let’s get right into it. Round number one backdrop and three to one. So after that backdrop, both phones have their rear glass cracked.

But there is a pretty big difference in the total amount of damage that each phone took.

The iPhone tennis max suffered a few cracks at the bottom with a single crack going up across the back. While the No. Nine’s glass on the hand just completely shattered all the way across.

I’m not sure if the difference here is because the iPhone actually has stronger glass like Apple claims or bad to do more with the iPhones protruding camera lens helping it break the fall, which is definitely a possibility given the scuff marks we see here on the camera housing itself.

But either way, the total amount of damage on the iPhone was less than on the note, giving it the win in round number one, round number two, corner drop in three to one.

So neither phone suffered too much damage after that corner drop.

The screens on both phones are still fully intact. And the only real damage is a few scuff marks on each of the phones frames. The aluminum frame on the No.9 does make the scuff marks look a little bit more visible to the camera.

Under direct light here, but in most other lighting conditions, the scuff marks on the iPhone stainless steel band look equally as bad, making it a tie here in round number two.

Round number three, face drop three to one.

After that face drop, both bones, unfortunately, have their screens cracked. But just like with the backdrop, the iPhone did manage to do a better job of keeping the damage contained with the majority of the cracks being limited to the bottom of the phone.

Whereas on the No.9, the cracks just spider webbed all across the display.

So it looks like the iPhone tennis’s glass is actually stronger after all, giving it the win here in round number three bonus round. OK, so both phones still remain fully functional after our ten point inspection, meaning each phone will move on to the bonus round where it’ll be dropped up to 10 times from just under five feet. Last time the No.9 was able to survive.

Not one, not five, but all 10 bonus drops. Technically remaining fully functional despite its severely shattered glass. Let’s see if the iPhone tennis max can do any better Photoshop in three to one. So that was really loud.

Does the phone still work? Oh, so the screen does seem to be working. That’s good news.

But the shattering got. Wow. That’s quite a bit. So before we had that like relatively light crack at the bottom and over here.

But now we have full blown shattering bonus drop two and three, two, one, three, two, one. How much damage can one phone take? How much abuse? Oh, OK.The screen is off like OK, but the phone does seem to be working.

It seems like all four corners work camera do the male app. Is it working here. Well that’s interesting.

Look at that. So that works, right. The TV app. And then it looks like up here it can touch. Can’t touch right there. Nope. Oh. The very top left works. OK. So I’m assuming these will work for the second and third rows unresponsive as I just see a 3D type work.

Nope. Though. That’s interesting. So can we dial nine one one. Can we do make an emergency call. Yes.

No. No. Wow. OK. So after just three bonus drops, we had a throw in the towel dipoles display just wouldn’t respond anywhere in the area between the second and the third rose on the home screen. Pretty much making the phone unusable.

There’s also some damage to the display itself underneath the glass.

So all in all, just not a very good results here for the iPhone in the bonus round. All right. So with all four rounds in the books, let’s take a look at the scorecard and the first round, the iPhone’s rear glass sustained significantly less damage from the backdrop in the seconds.

Both Boleyn’s performed roughly the same.

While in the third iPhone tennis match showed us that its glass actually is stronger. And then finally, in the fourth round, the No.9 superior impact and shock resistance, a lot to wipe away the iPhone’s lead from the other rounds, ultimately giving it the win here in this drop test. Anyways, that is it for me in this article.

So here it is today. We can be doing a formost our job test with the V 30 where we’re gonna be dropping it. Side-By-Side next to arguably its biggest competitor in the Galaxy Notes eight.

But before we get to the test, I want to give a big thanks to Tech 21 for making this video possible. So when we tested the Evo check case for the LGBT 30, it handled the back corner and face drops without a problem.

Let’s get to dropping round number one backdrop and three to one. All right.

So after that backdrop, both phones pass our ten point inspection and remain fully functional. But cosmetically, there is no contest. The V 30 surprisingly survives the backdrop with almost no visible damage.

While the NORAD has this rear glass completely shattered. So a really impressive result for the V 30 and an easy win for it here in round number one, round number two corner drop and three to one after that corner drop.

Both phones have their aluminum band scuffed, but because the bands are all metal without any kind of layering over top of them, the scuffs honestly don’t look all that bad.

And neither phone really did better than the other here, making it a draw in.

Round number two. Round number three, bass drop in three, two, one. All right. So that face dropped, cracked the glass on the front of both phones. But the result on the glass, you know, it does look better with a majority of the cracks being contained to just the corners, which may or may not be due to it having curved edges.

The V 30, on the other hand, suffers more significant, cracking with a shattered glass of top, distorting the selfie cam, giving the edge to the note aids in round number three bonus round.

OK, so with both phones still being technically usable, we entered the bonus round where we drop each phone directly onto steal from much higher up, which should put the shock and impact resistance of each phone to the test.

Last time the Galaxy Note eight was able to survive. Not one, not two, but all 10 bonus drops.

While the glass in the front and the back, the phone did take a beating. Most of the display itself remains undamaged except for on the edges.

However, unfortunately, after doing our ten point inspection, we found that no matter what we did, we couldn’t get the camera or the flash to work. So a decent results, but not necessarily the best. Let’s see, the V 30 can fare any better. Three, two, one.

He doesn’t make as lot of the noise because his phone is so lightweight and still looks like it’s working. Cool. Three, two, one. Good drop is the result. Good. All right. So we have a little dimple in the screen here.

Obviously, way more shattering. The back doesn’t have any shattering thing, some phones that shatter on the back. After all this impact, but the back holding up nicely. The screen looks like it’s working and pretty much all the corners.

That will hurt that one. Hurt. Nothing much.

I mean, same story. A little bit more like little fractures in the glass, but it’s still worth fighting for. This thing is doing really well. And drop 10 drops.

Can you do 10 bonus shots? Three, two, one.

Would Allen sound to the worth to do it? And it looks like it is still fully functional. Aletha, touchiness.

OK. So the V 30 also survived. All 10 bonus drops. And while the front glass looks really bad, the rear glass still remains in perfect condition. And unlike on the note, AIDS, the rear camera and the flash still work. However, the wide angle camera on the back did get damaged with it. Unable to focus on anything can actually see what looks like the camera housing at the bottom of the viewfinder.

So what? The lens may have gotten somewhat dislodged.

The display itself, though, still remains fully responsive to the touch. However, when you lock and unlock the phone, you do get this flicker that happens.

And what’s weird is if you keep the always on display option, turn on in the settings, the screen won’t turn back on after you lock it. You have to, like, fully restart the phone to get the screen to come back on again.

But if you disable the always on display option, this doesn’t happen. And it works just fine. So a really interesting result. All right. Before we take a look at the scorecard, let’s quickly review our new scoring method, because, man, we needed one. So from now on, the scores will be based only off of how a phone performs relative to the phone.

It’s being compared to and not off of any other phone from other dropped tests.

The winner of each round will receive 10 points, with the loser scoring anywhere between six and nine points, depending on how much worse it did. If two phones perform similarly, each phone will be given 10 points.

And after all four rounds, the scores will be tallied up to determine an overall winner.

Anyways, let’s get to the scorecard in the first round. The clear advantage went to the V thirty, whose glass remained fully intact, the phones tied in the second round and the third note eight suffered less damage on the fronts.

And then finally, in the fourth, while the notates display looked better to be Thirty’s camera and flash still worked, contributing to the V Thirty’s higher overall score, making it the winner here in this dropped test anyways. That is it for me in this article.

So the iPhone eleven pro max is the current phone, both style battery test champ. And when you take a look at the rankings on our Web sites, no other phone right now comes close to it.

But today, it’s going up against its biggest competitor in the Galaxy. S 20 Otara, a phone that now only has a more power efficient processor compared to last year’s galaxy. But it also has a massive five thousand million up our battery, which is 25 percent larger than the 4000 million of our battery on the iPhone.

However, the Galaxy does have a more power hungry display with its high refresh rates, which we decided to set at one hundred and twenty hertz. Considering that that is one of the standout features on this phone.

Now, don’t worry. We are going to be doing the 60 hertz first one hundred and twenty hertz battery test in an upcoming article.

So stay tuned for that. But in the meantime, I’m excited to see how these two phones stack up to each other. These are two the best phones in the world right now. So the question remains, which one has the best battery life? Let’s find out.

And if all that, you need Downbelow. So we’ll start things off in the phone app where each one is going on the same one hour phone call.

Both phones are in equal distance of the mini cell tower that we have installed in the lab.

And both phones have consistent audio playing on the other end of the call to make sure that we’re stressing those earpieces where after one hour, the iPhone drops by only one percent down to 99, while the Galaxy falls by five percent all the way down to ninety five, which when you consider that the ESC Twenty Ultra has a giant five thousand million up our capacity.

It’s a pretty significant drop. I’m not sure if it has to do with that new 5G modem or if it was something else.

But we ran multiple trials and these results were consistent here in the messaging test.

We’ve been going back and forth with our automated chat bot after one hour of texting. The iPhone is able to improve on its lead, pulling six percentage points ahead, with its battery dropping by only seven percent compared to the nine percent drop on the galaxy.

And this e-mail test was simply opening up e-mails and scrolling through the mockable times like you would in real life, where after one hour of e-mail, we get a similar result as the last test, with the iPhone pulling another two percentage points ahead, bringing its total lead it to eight percentage points very early on in this battery test.

We’ll see if the Essany otro can cut into the iPhone’s lead here in the browser test, where we’re cycling through the same set of Web sites on each phone where after an hour this time the difference is at least a little bit smaller.

But the iPhone is still did a better job, dropping by nine percent compared to the 10 percent drop on the galaxy.

Here, an insta. We’re doing exactly what you would do in real life. Simply scrolling through the home feed where due to the sheer amount of scrolling that’s going on in this test, is gonna be interesting to see how that 120 hertz display has an effect on the galaxy’s battery life.

But after one hour, it actually doesn’t do much worse, with the galaxy only falling behind by one percentage point. So as we head into halftime here with the standby test, obviously the iPhone is outperforming.

But given the bigger screen and the higher refresh rates, the S1 Otara is at least hanging in there. And after the 16 hour standby, it’s actually able to match the iPhone’s performance with both phones doing really well, dropping by just six percent as we move on to YouTube.

It’s worth noting that we’ve calibrated the speakers on each phone to the same decibel counts. And of course, the screen brightness has also been calibrated to the same level as well.

And after one hour of binge watching film buff on YouTube, the iPhone improves its ten point lead up to twelve points, with it at 54 percent, compared to just 42 on the galaxy. And unfortunately for the galaxy, as 20 Otara, things might just get even worse here in the gaming tests, considering it has a larger screen.

And again, that higher refresh rate. And after one hour of playing and Alto’s adventure, actually, somewhat surprisingly, the galaxy was able to match the iPhone’s performance with both phones dropping by an equal 10 percent.

So we’ve seen the galaxy do worse in some areas and matched the iPhone and others.

But what it has yet to do is beat the iPhone in any one of these tests. We’ll see if that changes here in maps where we’re simulating navigation by having each phone’s G.P.S. sensor turned on and both phones actively checking for traffic information, where after one hour, the difference is a small one.

But the iPhone is still managed to do better with it, adding yet another percentage point to its lead.

Here in Spotify, we have a robot listening to its favorite pattern of sounds, again, with both phones having their speakers calibrated to the same decibel count where after one hour, like we saw in some of the previous tests, the two phones perform identically, with each phone dropping by 10 percent.

But as we head into Snapchat, the iPhone’s advantage is likely going to be a factor here.

Considering that Snapchat is one of the most intensive tests in this entire battery test. And considering that the galaxy has a 40 megapixel selfie camera setup, I’m not sure if it’s going to do any better in this test than in others. And after just 35 minutes, all five thousand million hours of the galaxy’s battery are completely depleted, with it only managing to beat the smaller iPhone, all of impro by 10 minutes.

While this iPhone live in pro, max here still has 17 percent left to go, which allows it to finish this Snapchat test with an impressive twelve percent of battery remaining, allowing it to move on to the app cycle test, which, by the way, the iPhone is still the only phone that’s been able to do that, where after one hour and five minutes of this extremely intensive test, the iPhone finally calls it quits with it managing to last a full one hour and 30 minutes of screen time longer, despite having a battery that’s over a thousand app hours smaller, making the winner and still the form of.

A battery test champ. The iPhone eleven pro Macs anyways. That is it for me in this article.

What’s up, guys? And you’ve heard of modular smartphones before, or a phone that can change or be added on to over time.

But what you probably haven’t heard of yet is a modular smartphone case. So when writer should reached out wanting to team up and sponsor a video telling me that their new iPhone cases were also modular, it got my attention because we’ve done drug tests on Rinus Shield cases before.

We did one where we dropped the Wampus three off of the third story of a building and the phone was able to survive that.

We’ll also be doing a drop test in this article, so stick around for that. But the idea of having that high level of protection with a case that can basically make your iPhone modular is interesting. So this is the Rhino Shield Mod case.

And at first glance, it looks like a regular bumper.

It has a race slip on both the front and the back, along with their shocks, red material that allows your phone to withstand drops of at least 11 feet.

And being a bumper, the phone’s design isn’t hidden like some of the bigger and bulky cases do. So if you want to maintain that design, you want to be able to appreciate all the hard work that the team at Apple put into its than a bumper obviously is one way they want to go.

But the first place where the Mod case is different from other bumpers is you can completely customize the look of it.

The room on the back of the phone and the buttons on the side are removable so you can swap them out with different colors to make whatever unique color combo you want.

Of course, given that the back class on the iPhone eight or the iPhone 10 costs a lot of money to repair. You might want an extra layer of protection on the back just in case it falls on a rock or something.

And what’s cool is the mod case can actually transform from being a bumper to a full on protective case.

A back plate already comes in the box that you can just pop on. And they also have a bunch of different ones that you can choose from. You can do a simple setup like this with a clear back and a white bumper so you can kind of preserve the idea of having your bumper.

Or if you don’t care about hiding the Apple logo, you can do a white marble back plate that we actually paired with white side buttons. That gives you a nice and classy look.

And then there’s my personal favorite, the carbon fiber backplate with yellow buttons.

This, to me, looks absolutely amazing, like I’m a big fan of this. I just had to put it a Lamborghini wallpaper on there just to kind of complete the supercar look. But again, you can make hundreds of different combos to match your own style. But the modularity on this case goes beyond just changing it from being a bumper to a full case or making them look different.

There’s also the option to upgrade some of your phone’s capabilities, like the camera.

So Running Shield has for different lenses right now that you can choose from, that you can just twist on when you have the lens doctor installed.

There’s a fish eye lens, which honestly, I’m not a big fan of because, like, I don’t really take those kind of photos, but I am a fan of the HD wide-angle lens that looks just like a lens you’d get for A.D.s LA. It even comes with a lens hood and it gives you a crisp and clear one hundred and ten degree viewing angle with almost no distortion.

They also have a super wide angle lens that has a crazy one hundred and sixty five degree viewing angle. If you really want to get like everything into your shots and my personal favorite is this combo lens they have, which cannot only give you a 100 degree wide angle, but you can also twist off the top layer of the lens and have it double as a macro lens, letting you get super close up to things to get those macro shots that you normally just wouldn’t be able to.

Now, I think the most interesting part about this case is that the whole modular system is rhino. Shield says this is just the beginning.

They have other things in the works, like backplate that can be used as a wallet with little slots. They’re also working on supposedly like a battery backplate. And there’s even these two little slots here towards the bottom. That rhino can be used to insert a lanyard.

But they’re also kind of hinting that those slots will be used for something else in the future.

So I’m excited to see what happened. I’m excited to see the modular system grow. I think a lot of companies have tried to do modular smartphones and they kind of failed. And I honestly do think that a modular smartphone case does make a little bit more sense because a multiple are going to put a case on their phones anyways.

And B, you can put this case on the iPhone you already have.

You want to go out and buy a whole separate phone. Now, unfortunately, the Mark case isn’t yet available for Android phones. That will be coming later.

But for now, they still have their new crash card case available.

Phones like the Galaxy s eight and the pixel two, which are supposed to be even thinner and tougher than they were before, thanks to a new material. But before we jump out of this video, there’s still one thing left to do. We have to do a drop test, right.

We have to test the durability of this thing because it’s a case. And I also wanted to test out these lenses, like do a video test for you guys. So I figured there’s only one thing we can really do. Right. Do a drug test filmed entirely on iPhones using these lenses. So score time.

All right. So we are outside. What you’re looking through right now is the lens of an iPhone eight. Plus, we got the HD lens attached, like the big boy over here for the side camera.

We have an iPhone seven with that awesome carbon.

Roback plates, but the lens we have attached here is the wide angle, so like that one hundred and sixty five degree angle. It does give you a little bit of distortion, but I think is the best lens to put in this situation where we want to make sure that it captures the drop, which speaking of here, is the iPhone 10. So I’ll go out and put in my pocket and drop it as if I did an accident.

It hurts. It hurts. Does it work, though? Yep, we’re good.

So next drop is a little bit higher up. This is probably the second most common drop. You’ve got your chest height, so you’re texting and like you accidently sneeze. It’s still I don’t know. I’ve done thousands of drops us. And yet it’s still, you know, hurts a little inside. So.

Is, though, good? It’s that time. It’s that time where we do the extreme test.

I mean, this is not so extreme, but we can do something a little extreme, right? We’re gonna lift it up. I’m about six foot tall. Three, two, one.

It looks like it’s good. So. Yes, we are still good to see that the gesture works, I’ve heard before one of their jobs hasn’t worked. All right, we’re good. I mean, there you have it.

That’s the rhino shield. My case. It’s going to protect your phone, obviously, from these everyday drops. Merely did a drop test with a crash guard from like over 22 feet. So I wasn’t too surprised. Still scared me a little.

The Galaxy Note town plus and the one plus seven pro have been sitting at the top of our speed test rankings for a while now.

We were going to run the test against the regular one plus 70. But after hearing about the 70 pro and specifically this decked out MacLaren edition of the phone, we decided to wait. And I’m glad we did, because both of these phones are packing some serious power.

In fact, they’re actually almost the same, except for two key differences. The first is the Wampus 17 pro is using the upgraded Snapdragon eight fifty five plus chip instead of the standard A fifty five look on the notes.

And the second difference is the note is using the newer F to F. S file system compared to the older x t force system bound on the one plus.

And in theory, both of these differences should have at least some effect on performance. Of course, there’s no real way to know just how much of a difference they make by looking at a spec sheets. So let’s get to the test.

But while the 70 pro did look that document at a slightly faster rates, it’s wasn’t by much which might cost the one plus here in the camera test, considering that it has to physically pop up.

But that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Not only does the note catch up to the 70 pro, but it actually passes it as it moves on to the browser test, which does come as a bit of a surprise.

The difference here could be due to the notes different file system and F two offense, or it could just be an optimization thing with a 70 pro being such a new device.

But either way, the two phones are neck and neck here in the gaming row. There was no difference between them and subway surfers and only a slight edge for the nose in flip diving.

So three quarters into this first lap and the difference between the two phones is not that big. While the note is holding onto its lead as it begins working on forward assault, the Walpole’s 17 pro is still right there behind it.

And unless something drastic happens in the last row, I don’t know if that’s going to change.

While the note flew through Spotify, so does the 70 pro.

The same exact thing happens again in ESPN with a 70 pro matching the nose performance and once again in Hulu, meaning the note finishes the first half with the time of one minute and 45 seconds, just two seconds ahead of the 72 pro, which comes in that one minute and 57 seconds. So not a big difference between the two at all.

And here in the second lap, with both phones having 12 gigabytes, RAM, that’s unlikely to change.

In fact, outside of slightly slower animations on the notes, the two phones perform the same with them ending just one second apart, which isn’t enough to declare a clear winner making it this speed test a tie. Any ways? That is it for me in this article.

It seems like every year we hear about a new smartphone that has the strongest glass ever. In fact, these air quotes are something that I think I’ve done in like every drop test intro for the last two years.

And this year is no exception. No. Tony Otara is the first smartphone to feature Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Victus, which the company claims is 25 percent better at drop performance than Gorilla Glass six.

Now, while that sounds impressive. Stronger glass in and of itself isn’t the entire story.

It’s how the manufacturer ultimately implements that glass on their phones. That I think matters most. For example, a manufacturer could technically opt for a stronger glass, but then use a thinner sheet if it’s keeping the durability at the same level as the previous generation while making the device maybe a little bit thinner or freeing up internal space for something like a bigger battery.

Or they could actually use the same thickness of glass and use a stronger glass, which would improve your ability.

But you just never know how it’s implemented. And that’s why we do these dropped tests today. We’re dropping the note 20 Otara, and then we’re gonna compared it to footage from the iPhone Permax drop test that we conducted earlier so we could see how these two phones stack up. Side-By-Side.

The note, unfortunately, has some of its glass cracked.

The damage isn’t too bad, though, with the cracks mostly contained to the top left. And while there are a few scratches here and there on the rest of the back, the total damage is in anywhere near as bad as it was on the iPhone, where the rear glass shattered pretty much all over the place, even in the camera housing.

So while it wasn’t pretty, it’s an easy win for the notes in round number one. Round number two, corner drop. The corner drop yields similar results on both phones, with neither results being all that bad. Both phones still pass our fifteen point inspection.

And I’d say the only difference here is the notes. Damage is just a little bit more visible with it getting scuffed while the iPhone stainless steel only got scratched.

Giving the iPhone the slight edge in round number two. Round number three, face drop in three, two, one.

After the face drop, the iPhone’s glass cracked with the damage starting at the bottom left and then spreading up to the top, writes the Galaxy Note 20. Otara, on the other hand.

Well, it’s glass, surprisingly remains fully intact, which is an incredible results with the only real damage to the phone and being these very late scratches that are only noticeable under direct lights like we have here. Other than that, it’s a perfect results. Now, it’s important to note that this is only a sample size of one. Unfortunately, it isn’t sustainable for us to conduct the multiple trials that we want to do.

But still a really impressive result for the notes, giving it the win in round number three bonus round with both phones proving to be fully functional after our 15 point inspection.

They move on to the bonus round where each phone is being dropped from a higher up at just under one point five meters. Last time the iPhone was actually able to survive all ten bonus rounds, although it was a pretty ugly with chunks of glass literally falling out and the phone losing the major functionality of its rear cameras.

The No. 20 otras front glass hasn’t even cracked yet, so we’ll see if he can maintain his performance here in the bonus round.

Three, two, one. One bonus drop any and the notes glass is still intact.

There are no cracks in the front and everything is still fully functional on the phone. So we’ll move on to the next drop. Drop it. Another drop. And this same exact results with no additional damage to report. So we’ll keep on going.

Drop three, two, one, seven drops in and still nothing. The front glass hasn’t cracked.

And what’s interesting is the rear glasses, initial cracks from the backdrop on concrete hasn’t gotten much worse. Normally we see cracks like this begin to spiderweb with all the impact testing, but nothing on the note.

Thirty one after all. Ten bonus drops. Surprisingly, the No. 20 otras glass in the front is still not cracked. The phone is still fully functional. The old looks great. The cameras are still good.

And that in display, a fingerprint scanner is working without a problem. So just an amazing result all the way through.

All right. With all four rounds in the books, let’s take a look at the scorecard and the first round. The No. 20 otras damage was nowhere near as bad as the iPhones. And the second round at the stainless steel on the iPhone give it the slight edge in the third, the No. 20 ultra had the result that you would hope for when dropping your phone with the glass still fully intact.

And it stayed that way all the way throughout the bonus round, making the winner by a huge margin. The Galaxy Note 20 Otara anyways. That is it for me in this article.
