Ultimate Smart Home: Budget Smart Lights Office

what’s up everybody this is Danny and welcome back to another episode of ultimate smart home and today I want to focus on budget smart home lighting and if you

caught my last tour I showed you this starter kit for a Gift Guide and a lot of people have been asking me about it so I’ve partnered with San

glad to show you how I have my lights set up here in the new office and this is not quite done yet and there’s gonna be some changes but

I think it’s okay to give you a little sneak peek there are a lot of smart bulbs on the market right now it can be overwhelming and confusing and

most of the popular brands are pretty expensive so I think that’s the biggest barrier for people trying to start their smart homes but I think Anglet is hitting that

perfect sweet spot especially when it comes to price you’ll find that this lighting is a fraction of the price of major competitors but give you all the features

that you need and if you happen to catch this video on a prime day that you can get these kits and other bulbs for a steal so I’m gonna leave

a link down below for you they have a big lineup of smart lighting so you’re gonna be able to find what you need singlet has bulbs that have Wi-Fi

built-in so if you don’t want to use a hub you could grab these it’s good either way but in my experience with smart bulbs using a hub actually

makes the experience a little bit more reliable it’s super easy to set up in this angle at home app these hubs come with these kits and you’ll more than likely

only need one hub because you can connect over 60 lights I believe just add lights in the app a QR code scan is all you need just rename and

group them and you’ll have control over all of these connected lights right from the app from anywhere in the world I have a br 30 multicolor bulb in my

a lamp behind the TV setup I have a multicolored lights trip and my ceiling lights are a 90 multicolor in my bathroom I have the white version connected so

I can see all of that in my app I can turn them on and off I can dim them to 10 percent I have full control

over the possible 16 million colors and all of the color temperatures so I can customize to any vibe I have a gaming mode set up through the app so

I can do a little bit of an RGB look when I’m gaming but right now I have just the daylight look for that fresh and clean look so for

me to demonstrate this let me go ahead and close the blinds first hey close office blinds sure getting my smart lines okay closing for blinds in the office so let

I go ahead and show you that game mode I have it right here on my single at home app all I have to do is just hit one button

and boom RGB just like that when I’m ready to play games but I don’t have to use my phone I can just use a voice assistant I have everything

hooked up through Google assistant in here but you can use Amazon Alexa there’s support for that too so let’s say that I want to change colors well go get

change office lights to white change office lights to blue change office lights to red turn off his lights just like that it’s super quick really easy so I

it through a voice assistant being able to control all my lighting in here just by voice is so convenient but putting it into routines and automation even better so

when I’m done working in here or playing games watching a movie or whatever when I leave this office I can put everything into one goodnight command so it will

turn off all of my lights in here change the temperature on my thermostat go ahead and close all of my blinds in here I love that when I travel

I can set up schedules for these lights to come on at certain times to make it look like I’m home or if I just totally forget to turn off

the lights or don’t say the goodnight command before I fall asleep and then I have a schedule for midnight every night to turn off so I can save energy

the app is really simple and easy to use it’s not too complicated with too many features that you probably won’t use they do have scenes that you can add

so I have my gaming and my daylight scenes on here with one touch I can change it up I would recommend picking up one of these starter kits I

like the multicolor myself but they do have white if that’s your preference the kits come with the hub and adding on extra bulbs or cheap so hit that link

below for updated pricing, I think you’ll be surprised on how affordable it is so if you’re not trying to break the bank and you want some smart-home lighting then

gives Sangla to try as promised here’s a little sneak peek at the new office this media setup video is coming soon it’s the new 65 inches 2019 LG OLED

c9 paired with the new LG soundbar there’s a BD Iola media cabinet that I still love I’ve had this for years and I still think it’s the perfect

modern central piece for this room there’s tons of gaming there too with all of the major consoles I’m sure that there’s a lot of you out there curious about

the shoe wall yes I am heavily into sneakers these rotate per season so for the backdrops of my videos you’ll see them change I still need a wall mount

these shelves so they can be elevated a little bit and I also still have to warm out the TV I do have an Ikea couch in here right now

with the shades but I decided to change it out for theater seating so I’m psyched for that when I first got this space I knew I wanted to elevate

my movie-watching and gaming experience in here so I can’t wait to show you the full thing it’s gonna be awesome but right over there is my editing station I

already showed you my desk setup still rocking that laptop docking combo you can watch that full video if you’re interested in this set up I’m so proud of the

look and especially the cable management but I’m gonna stop right there because I don’t want to give it all the way and I’m still working on this especially the

garage downstairs yes there’s gonna be a smart garage so this is a garage apartment this is gonna be a full tour thing so I don’t want to rush it

I want it to be awesome so make sure you stay tuned for that I’m still organizing all of my gear and finding the best places to put it so

what do you think about the space so far I think it’s coming out pretty good myself and I’m gonna be testing out a lot more smart home products in

here especially more budget smart bulbs I know there’s a lot of requests for that and also if you want me to compare them I’ll do that as well

but make sure you hit the links below and check out sang lid I like the multicolor kit and if you’re watching this on a prime day you’re gonna be able

to get 40% off which is wicked for that price it’s a major win so scoop those up before they disappear there’ll be sales on other bulbs as well so

check out those links for real-time pricing thank you for watching another episode of ultimate smart home and I will see you in the next one

S10 5G SPEED Samsung Galaxy

I just got back from Chicago had a few amazing days there I cannot wait to visit that city again and while I was there I was able to shoot
my one-month experience with the Samsung galaxy s 10 5g and what it’s like to use that phone on a day-to-day basis more like a real-world test so if you’re
interested in picking that phone up you need to watch it and while I was there I was able to test out 5g for a couple of days and
I was so impressed with it that I wanted to make a separate experience video on what it was like to use 5g I was able to test it out
on the Verizon network but all major carriers should be launching 5g sometime this year so if it’s coming to your city I want to give you a glimpse of
how this is gonna change the way you use your phone before I show you some tests I feel like a breakdown of 5g is necessary there are two types
of 5g that you will see coming to a city near you, they will both work together to make a seamless experience but the one I got to test was
the high band millimeter-wave transmitted by nodes like these throughout the city the bandwidth of the spectrum is incredibly high and it’s meant to give you super-fast directional data
very precise beaming directly to your phone but the signal can be easily blocked by light poles trees and other obstacles so having multiple nodes will be key so you can
adaptively change between beams while you’re walking the second will be sub 6 gigahertz bands so to explain it easily it’ll be like a boost upgrade to existing towers to
increase speeds and bandwidth and coverage so this is how I’m most likely to see 5g in my area because I don’t live in high-traffic cities like New York City
LA or Chicago but in theory, this is really smart if you think about it if everyone outside is consuming all of this data on the high band millimeter-wave then
this frees up bandwidth inside for existing networks alleviating congestion so the speeds inside get better as well so both of these working together should make the experience better overall
firing up speed tests and testing these network speeds throughout the city just mind-boggling I almost saw two gigabits per second down at one point which is just insane this
is faster than most people’s fiber connections at home I am an AT&T subscriber that is who I use and that 5ge is not real 5g I have that icon
here on my iPhone so don’t be fooled you can see how fast real 5g speeds are in comparison to it I also ran a speed test against 4G LTE
so you can see the difference here which is already pretty fast in my opinion but 5g just blows it away here it’s almost four times as fast on download
which is a game-changer if you don’t care about technology don’t understand it or that’s just not your thing that’s okay I’m gonna give you some real-world examples of what
it’s like it wouldn’t be fair if I just found the fastest node and did all my tests there so I moved throughout the city speeds varied from 500
megabits per second down to almost 2 gigabits per second so it did vary but here’s how it will make a major difference so faster download speeds for big games
like fortnight downloading full episodes of stranger things in about 5 seconds or so you could download an entire season quick before you hop on that plane to binge-watch and
some apps like Spotify I don’t think are fully optimized yet or any of these apps are fully optimized but this is an entire album in extreme quality downloading
and it took about 20 seconds or so but that’s nothing to be angry about that’s for sure Amazon Prime video lets you download high-quality content in full seasons
so for example, if you wanted to catch up on boss just download the entire season look at how fast those episodes are downloading this will significantly cut down on
time spent waiting for downloads to happen even though millimeter-wave can be fickle with windows and inside buildings, I was able to get 5g in the Starbucks next to
the window if you love watching content on YouTube look at this zero low times an instant 4k resolution this is just a dream so low latency and fast speeds
is what you can expect from 5g some real-world differences here I have to admit every time I saw that ultra-wideband logo pop up at the top that’s what
you’re gonna see if you’re on the Verizon network I just got excited because it is really that fast starts working together should be a seamless experience also if
you notice in these speed tests you’ll see that the upload link is still in 4G so that 5g upload transition has not happened yet it will happen eventually but
as of right now the upload is still in 4G, of course, there are debates about the safety of 5g and I don’t want to get into that here
but I want to point you to Linus’s video he did a really good job on the myths of 5g and if it’s safe or not I think you should
watch that video because he does a really good job of breaking that down so if you’re concerned about 5g I would check out that video after the glimpse

Galaxy Note 10 vs Note 10 Plus:

what’s up everybody this is Danny and today let’s take a look at the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note Enver PSA’s the note 10 plus since there are three new

note devises this year including a 5g version let me break down the differences between them and show you the best new features to see if these notes live up

to the hype the first thing that I noticed on these new note devices is that the power button is moved to the left side of the phone, it’s great

for lefties but it’s gonna take me some time to get used to letting me know how you feel about that the smaller note 10 has a 6.3 inch 20

to 80 by 1080p display and the larger note 10 plus has a higher resolution six-point eight inches 3040 by 1440 display both dynamic AMOLED both vibrant and great-looking displays

surprised to see 1080p on the smaller note but it looked great in my opinion this design is very near basilis even the bottom chin is reduced significantly both get

the single hole punch cut out for the camera both 10 megapixels with F 2.2 aperture both have this boxy more squared-off design but I’m digging it both feel extremely

premium well built as you would expect from Samsung there are four colors total at launch you get the ARRA glow which I think is my favorite the amount of

colors represented on this finish is stunning I feel like at every angle you get a new hue this is the one that I’m going for also is a

white is simple but I think it looks really beautiful in the person, of course, you get a is a black option and you also get the ARRA blue which I

dig also this color will be exclusive to Samsung command Best Buy at launch the latest and greatest will cost you though the note 10 starts at nine hundred

and forty-nine dollars and the note 10 plus starts at one thousand ninety-nine dollars so no matter what color you get you should protect that new note

ten or no ten plus with cases from today’s video sponsors spigen I’ve been using speaking cases for years and they make legit cases for whatever phone that you are

using but of course, they have them ready for the new notes it doesn’t matter if you want a super-thin case a rugged case with a lot of protection

or something stylish with a mixture of both spigen has something you want my favorites for the new notes are the clear options they let the beautiful new finishes shine

through on the back but give you that protection that you need you can even get one with a kickstand like this one so you can watch your favorite videos

on one of the best displays that money can buy don’t be that person that buys the new note and drops it and cracks that screen I will leave a

link down below for you to check out speakings affordable but the high-quality lineup for the new notes you’ll see more of these cases on the channel very soon I

highly recommend picking one of these cases up before your note 10 even arrives at your doorstep for power both get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is an incredible chip

it was great on the s10 and it will be just as great here some markets will get the new 7 nanometre X and O’s 9825 chipsets both get 256

gigabytes of the faster ufs 3.0 internal storage but the note 10 plus has the 512-gigabyte option the note 10 also does not have a MicroSD card slot while

the note 10 plus does 8 gigabytes of RAM on the note 10 and 12 gigabytes of RAM on the note 10 plus 3 thousand 500 milliamp-hour battery on

the note 10 and the note 10 plus gets the larger 4300 milliamp-hour battery 25-watt chargers will be included in the box for both but only the note

10 plus will support the superfast 45 watts charging both phones will also support 15-watt wireless charging the 5g version will be the same as the note 10

plus but with 5g connectivity, no differences in specs just 2 grams heavier and many of you will be sad that the headphone jack is gone on all of the

notes this year r.i.p headphone jack you will be missed they all have triple camera systems on the back main 12-megapixel dual aperture lens with F 1.5 or F

2.4 aperture with oh is 12-megapixel telephoto also with oh is @f 2.1 aperture this time and also at that amazing

ultra-wide-angle 16 megapixel camera with 123-degree field of view at F 2.2 aperture but the note 10 Plus does have the time of flight camera on the back

for dedicated depth-sensing, I found it interesting that the portrait mode video is available on the front and back cameras on all of these phones the note 10 is

using the secondary camera for depth sensing and the front-facing camera is just using software to make this happen when I my units I will test them to see if

there’s an actual difference between the two now that we talked about the differences let’s talk about the s-pen since that’s what the note is all about this year the

S Pen is unibody the matching colors look fantastic I love the white and the blue Samsung added a gyroscope and an accelerometer to the pen so you can get

more gesture-based controls you can now change camera modes with the s-pen you can also change between camera lenses if you need to and what they rounded gesture you

can also zoom in and zoom out so this takes the S pen’s ability to use it as a remote shutter button last year to the next level so I

can see this being awesome on a tripod especially for content creation or group portraits the gestures will be supported in the gallery and music app as well and will

be open to third-party developers with an SDK so I can imagine some cool things happening especially with gaming so let’s see what they do you never know it could

be cool or it could just be left in a cloud of dust like it was last year some other new cool features with the s-pen you can write notes and and

export it into Microsoft Word files and the handwriting will be converted to the text I think a lot of pen users will find this to be handy there’s also a

native video editor on board so you can get creative and add effects transitions and more so you can make your note in your content creation tool Samsung decks is also

here to turn your Note 10 or note n into a desktop with just a single cable to a monitor there’s a new feature this year that connects your note

to any Windows 10 device you get text messages to access to your gallery and notifications without even downloading an app, there are also some other features like our doodle where

you can draw on a subject and life tracking will make it easy to create some fun memories there’s a new zoom in mic feature which I need to test

out where you can zoom in on a subject and the volume will be pinpointed to that area to pick up better audio so I’ll test all of this and

let you know in the review how well they work so make sure you subscribe for that and I’m curious and I want to know from you guys do these

new notes have enough new features to make you want to upgrade from the note 9 and also which one of these new notes would you pick up I personally

would pick up the note 10 plus but let me know which one that you would pick in the comments below make sure you check out Spigen cases if you’re

picking up a new note 10 or no 10 plus to protect that expensive investment with one of these dope cases thumbs up if you enjoyed it a lot more

content coming I will see you in the next one

Media Room Edition (2019): Ultimate Office Setup

what’s up everybody this is Danny and today I’ve teamed up with LG to show you my brand new OLED media setup tour with a little bit of a height

the best twist I’ve been working on this for a long time so I can’t wait to show this to you I wanted to keep it clean and modern but also

super comfortable and I also wanted to incorporate sneakers because I love sneakers just a little too much so here’s my setup for 2019 the heart of the setup is

the 65 inch LG c9 OLED TV this has to be one of the thinnest TVs I have ever owned the bottom has all of the components and the speaker’s

built-in but the panel itself is even thinner than my iPhone which is insane the LG c9 comes with a nice low profile metal stand and while I think

the built-in speakers are great already I wanted to take my audio to the next level giving it that theater feeling here so I went with the LG SL 10

yg soundbar it comes with this wireless subwoofer to give me that bass I need and the soundbar has to up-firing speakers to fill the room with

multidirectional sound with DTS X s and Dolby Atmos support it’s really easy to set up you can go fully wireless with these if you want which I think

is nice you don’t need a cable at all Bluetooth connection is a breeze and sounds great but you can go optical or audio return channel via HDMI if you

want as well so you have options plus it has Google Assistant built-in so by the voice I can play all my favorite music while I’m editing so this has taken

my office to the next level I love LG OLED TVs because the picture quality it’s incredible I love OLED because you get those perfect inky blacks because unlike

LCD TVs every pixel can be individually controlled so those dark scenes are fantastic the colors pop is just so vibrant it’s a joy to watch whatever on here so

whether I’m catching up on some YouTube videos or watching a movie the experience is top-notch with Dolby vision HDR 10 and Technicolor support I can watch these movies as

the filmmaker or director wanted them to be seen this is my second LG OLED and I love my last one but I think there are a few key improvements

on the 2019 models that make a huge difference to the user experience one of the first TV manufacturers to ship with HDMI 2.1 so it makes a huge difference

with gaming on consoles like the Xbox 1x it allows for variable refresh rate so it’s very similar to Nvidia g-sync or AMD free sync 12.9-millisecond input lag with a

1 millisecond response time and HDR support makes a great gaming experience on the last generation I didn’t recommend buying an OLED TV for gaming but the 2019 models

is a definite go with HDMI 2.1 it is a big deal it is the future so I’ll be talking a lot more about HDMI 2.1 in the four of

you coming up with nice features like enhanced audio return channel so if you pick one of these up you’ll be future-proofing your TV purchase so if you don’t

know I’m a huge smart home guy so having a I built into the LG c9 is very important so I get a choice of either Google Assistant or Amazon

Alexa, they are both here so I think LG is one of the first to ship with both working so after signing into Google on the TV I was able

to control the temperature in here with my smart thermostat I was able to change all of my smart lightings I was able to do all of my routines all

through this button right here on the remote one of my favorite things is just switching between apps with voice instead of searching for it I often ask to change

to Netflix or YouTube or going between that and Hulu is just so much easier to do it by voice this super fast and convenient but the soundbar

has far-field mics and Google assistant built-in so I set up a routine when I want to play the Xbox just to say one command the TV switches to HDMI

for the smart lights turned to green to match that mood and all of my blinds closed with my smart blinds to darken it up in here so I have

this place hooked up with voice commands I love the experience overall the easy to use webOS interface the remote has a pointer on it so I always find it

to be easier than most other TV interfaces you know exactly where to click the great picture qualities are given of course the built-in AI but also for Apple

fans airplay to support what that means is if you’re a Mac or iPhone user you’ll be to cast your content to the TV without any Apple TV attached and

you’ll be able to access all of your movies and everything that you purchase through Apple the TV as well so you might as well save money on that Apple

I have the Xbox one X and on the left side of the cabinet I have my Nintendo switch I have some sweet deep brand skins on it to give

it that custom look the pro controller and of course the Mario dock on the right side I have some retro consoles the NES and the Super Nintendo classic I

need to hack these up and get a ton of games on here I still haven’t done that yet the smart lighting I’m using here is the more affordable ones

LED I just did a video on these half the price or less of the bigger competitors but they work well you can see that these are multicolored I

can change the lights to whatever color I want I can control them right through the app or by the voice you just saw that working earlier they might not have

all of the features that the flagship bulbs have but they get the job done on the last tour there was a couch here but I told you I

was gonna replace it with theater seating because I wanted to give this place more of a theater or a media vibe and the problem with theater seating is most

of them don’t look very modern they’re big and bulky but I think I found the perfect ones these are by Valencia theater seating this one, in particular, is the

Zurich model a part of their premier series and these look very very modern they’re comfortable and I’m in love with them I love the slim profile they have

nice blue illuminated cupholders and kick plates which I think is a nice touch and all of the control buttons here are along the side with the USB port

which is clutch because sometimes you’ll want to be able to charge your phone while you’re watching a movie this Italian Nappa leather is nice it’s high-quality you

can feel that also can’t go wrong with this quilted diamond stitching I think this gives it a nice look luxurious I’m just gonna show you because

I’m able to relax and look at how far this goes back and the gap between this and the wall is not very far you can see how it

blinds behind me and we just keep going and going okay do I have to continue this later and also like the fact that you can move the headrest and

get that perfect position the movie experience now is elevated these seats are ago so I’m gonna do more on these on the full tour but yeah these seats

top-notch so finally the sneaker portion of the tour and I have some neons here that I think accentuate the room well the first one I have is

the Shawn Witherspoon Air Max 197 combo which I think is my favorite other two but I also have the classic Jordan one neon here which is also pretty cool

so let me know which one that you like better in the comments below this is probably only about 10% maybe even less than that of my sneaker collection I

know it’s a little crazy but I have pretty much a little off-white wall right here I mean some people like off-white some people don’t but I think the 10

the series collection is probably some of the best sneakers collapses out there so some of my favorite pairs here probably the Air Force ones here these Blazers man I love

the colorway on these are the air max 90s which that cone blue color can’t go wrong with this one I also have another pair of 90s right here

desert or some people love these more let me know which one you like better you can’t go wrong with the 97 z they’re the Mintos or the Serena

Williams which one would you pick the second portion of the wall is more of the Jordan one collection I have a lot more than these but the shadows I

think are kind of slept on the homage to home I liked as well it’s got the bread colors on one side Chicago colors on the other side with

some leather laces they look super fire, of course, you can’t forget these are also classic I know off-white probably belongs over there but I love the UNC’s

these are probably one of my favorite pairs Travis Scott fours and then I have these right here Justin Timberlake threes which are nice tinker combo one of the

coolest in the collection for sure spider-man’s bread so can’t go wrong with Jordan so if any of you can name this pair right here kudos to you and then

here are the Sean Witherspoon’s that I talked about earlier I think this is one of the best mashup combos that are out there great summer shoe and here

are some easy full reflective statics I like these I wear my regular pair static so I don’t wear these sit here because these things are worth

the fortune another pair of Yeezys right here so they always kind of rotate through the collection got some 40s right here love the way that the 40 sole

looks love how they are 3d printed BBC collection Pharrell nmds these are the plaid ones they came in green as well and then Nike react I like these

I think it’s one of the first epics reacts to come out my wife calls in the rat shoes

9 Wireless Charging (15W) vs Galaxy Note 10 Plus

what’s up everybody this is Danny and today I want to test the new 15-watt wireless charging on the galaxy note end I was able to get a hold
of the new official 15 watts wireless charger that Samsung makes it says here it’s compatible with the note 10 and the S 10 5g up to 15 watts so
I’ll test both of these in this video this charger runs about 80 US dollars so check the link below for current pricing because you’ll never know when they’ll go
on sale if you’re wondering what comes in the box you get the charger itself it’s a single stand charger, not a duo a little pricey some paperwork but you
don’t need that USBC cord and a fast-charging brick this looks like the same one that you get in a box with the note 10 plus the quality
is nice though it’s plastic with some ventilation on the bottom and a pretty large fan on the back with ventilation for cooling so this looks pretty serious to charge
the note 9 I’m using the duo charger that is 12 Watts this was introduced with the S 10 series even though it’s 12 Watts the note 9 doesn’t support
it so it shouldn’t mess with the charging times and of course the note 10 plus with the new 15-watt official charging standard after 5 minutes the note 10
plus has 3 percent charge while the note 9 has 2 percent charge very close at the takeoff I had to readjust some things to get rid of this glare
after 16 minutes I missed the 15-minute mark the note 10 plus has 13% charge and the note 9 has 8% charge after 30 minutes the note 10 plus has
29% which isn’t bad at all and the note 9 has 18% this is a little closer than I thought it would be since this isn’t quite double the speed
that I was expecting after one hour the note 10 plus has 57 percent which is good and note 9 has 39 percent which is faster than I
thought it would be after an hour and a half the note 10 plus has 84 percent charge and the note 9 has 60 percent charge so the note 10
plus taking a decent lead here and finally at the 1 hour and 54 minutes mark the note 10 plus hits 100% and the note 9 is at 77% this
is impressive considering that the note n plus has a larger 4,300 milliamp-hour battery compared to the note 9s four thousand milliamp-hour battery I’m going to charge the
galaxy s 10 5g to confirm 15-watt wireless charging while the note 9 goes to a hundred two and a half hours later the note 9 is at 97%
it’s almost there 2 hours and 43 minutes later the note 9 hits 100% so the note 10 plus with a larger battery is about 50 minutes faster almost an
hour faster so that is fantastic if you’re a wireless charging fan checking the galaxy s 10 5g it looks like 15-watt wireless charging is supported here the same amount
of time the note 10 plus takes to charge on the estimated countdown makes sense since they both have the same four thousand three hundred million power battery I
want to add in that the note 10 plus was a little bit warm during the first half of charging but cooled down towards the end the note 9 was
the same but in the end, I’m happy that wireless charging times are getting better in my last wireless charging test the iPhone tennis max took about four hours to
wirelessly charge so this is a major win so let me know in the comments are you picking one of these new 15 watt Wireless charges up for your note
10 or are you cool with the older chargers and don’t mind waiting a little longer thank you for watching link below if you want to pick one of these
up more note 10 content coming up so subscribe to the channel

Review Oculus Quest Changed My Mind about VR

the smartphone we all know what happened to those they pretty much failed after using the oculus quest this product changed my mind about how I look at VR let
I share with you the reasons why I think the oculus quest changes the game for VR for the masses first everything you need is in the box there’s no
need to buy anything else you get the controller’s you get the power cable the manual so when you buy this as a gift or for yourself there’s nothing else
that you need to buy to make this work there are additional accessories that you can buy like this travel case here if you want to take the system with
you since this is portable and cable-free but I love that everything that you need is in the box already second is just how easy this thing is
to use here’s what the headset looks like there are no sensors to set up because everything is already built into the headset there’s no complicated setup process no phone to
put in here you just get started right away it’s compact it’s not too heavy it’s comfortable – since this has nice cushioning if the gaming sessions get a
little crazy you can get a little bit of a sweat build up in here but that’s expected but it’s really easy to clean when you put it on for
the first time the tutorial steps you through the setup process and all you have to do is set up your Guardian boundary it couldn’t be easier you just draw
the virtual space it uses the cameras built into the front to show you your reality and virtual space so when you step out of this boundary it will automatically
switch to show you your room so don’t worry about running into a wall or a table I don’t have a huge space in here but you do get
used to this fast the controllers are also comfortable nice grip on them this magnetic battery cover can move on you a little bit in the beginning but after a
few plays you’ll get used to the grip I’m gonna suggest right now that you always use the safety strap when handling the controller because some of these games you’re
gonna get into this it’s immersive you’re gonna be swinging everywhere and you don’t want this thing to come flying out of your hand and go into a
TV or something you know what I’m saying not saying that I’ve done that next is the experience the virtual room is nice the interface is really easy to
use I like the fact that you can do more than gaming on here you can catch up on your Netflix shows if you want to YouTube is also here
and the viewing experience and resolution on the headset is also nice to do this with there are built-in speakers in the headset with positional audio this is nice for
gaming if you still want to hear what’s going on around you or if you’re playing with a large group it’s also nice to be able to share your screen
to a smartphone or a TV so others can see you play it makes for a fun and interactive experience and you can also screen record that’s what you’re seeing
now but when it comes to watching shows I prefer using the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack that’s built-in to give me that more immersive experience so this is a gaming
headset after all and if the gaming experience isn’t good then it’s not worth it right so let me tell you that the gaming experience is awesome on this real-time
room tracking and virtual tracking is great my mind was blown how well this worked the tracking and responsiveness is one of the major strong suits of the
oculus quest you will not be disappointed at all I got to try out some games my favorites were beat Sabre where you have to slash these blocks on the beat
and slash the right way to get points this one will make you sweat it’s almost a workout it’s a great mixture of gameplay and music I think a lot
of people will enjoy this game I also liked sport scramble this is a more lighthearted title with Virtua Tennis which I enjoyed I can see this being awesome in
multiplayer there is also baseball where I enjoy striking out way too much and there is the bowling which is always fun and competitive I spent way too much time on
this game trying to get better superhot is one of the coolest games that I’ve played on VR is challenging because these glass people only move when you move but
once you get used to it is so fun maneuvering and shooting and timing everything perfectly I enjoyed this one it’s a perfect example of what VR can
do and Robo recall is just a classic first-person shooter it’s not as complicated as super hot but it’s still fun nevertheless
